In the 1940’s, American-born, anti-war Willard MacDonald jumped his troop train heading to WWII. Fearing authorities, he lived as a Hermit deep in the northern wilderness of Nova Scotia, and decided never to leave it. 60 years later, this documentary catches up with Willard and those closest to him, discussing the impact he had on society, while living on the outskirts of it.
